Your First Session - St Paul

Getting Here

The St Paul office is located in St Paul’s Cathedral Hill neighborhood in the Dacotah Building. I are in Suite 316 on the 3rd Floor. The Dacotah Building is on the South side of Selby Avenue South in above WA Frost and Co. For more detailed instructions on how to get here from your home or office please see our contact page.  The door accessing the upper levels of the building is in the middle of the block, just across from Moscow On The Hill.  Through this entrance, take the stairs to the third level and go through the windowed door on your left.  Follow the hallway around two left hand corners and you will find Suite 316 just past the bathroom on your right.

Parking

There are no reserved parking spaces for our St Paul office. Street parking is typically plentiful but there are paid lots available. Clients have not typically found parking on the street problematic.

Arrival Time

The office has a waiting area just outside Suite 316 for clients to wait in prior to their session. Your therapist will come out to meet you there when it is time for your session.  Privacy and confidentiality are of the utmost importance to us so please do not attempt to enter the office until your therapist opens the door and invites you in.  Also be aware that another client may be leaving the office while you are in the waiting area.  If your appointment is scheduled for 6pm or later the main door of the Dacotah Building is locked. Your therapist will meet you by the front door to let you in at the time of your session.

Paperwork

During your first session we will talk about what is bringing you to seek therapy. You will complete some basic paper work including a Disclosure Statement, Fee Agreement Form, and Notice of Privacy Practice. All paperwork is held with strict confidentiality that will be discussed during the first session. Please also see the privacy section on this website.

Notes / Documentation

Minimal notes may be written as part of your treatment process. Notes are taken strictly at the discretion of the therapist. Notes are not a major part of our therapeutic work and are not intended to ever be discussed or released unless required by law. If other documentation is needed for insurance purposes or by your request for any reason, there will be a $25 processing fee per incident and the client will be charged $1 per page. Requests for information may take up to 30 days to be fulfilled.
